During their week at Caucasus University, DBA students and faculty from the Abu Dhabi School of Management (ADSM) participated in various seminars and company visits in addition to the main conference program, organized by Caucasus University, as part of a five-day International Learning Experience in Georgia.

On the first day, Irakli Svanidze, the Head of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, conducted an executive workshop titled “Building an Entrepreneurial University.” This workshop focused on how universities can actively engage in innovation, entrepreneurship, and ecosystem development.

The following day, Wednesday, October 14, 2026, our guests met with PhD students from Caucasus University to discuss potential joint research opportunities. The meeting provided everyone with an opportunity to share research interests and explore collaboration possibilities.

The delegation also visited Nutrimax in Tbilisi, a leading animal nutrition company in the region. The visit was facilitated by the Caucasus Training Center (CTC) UAE, and accompanied by Dr. Boris (Buba) Lezhava, the Managing Partner of CTC Dubai. The session, titled “Understanding Georgia’s Agricultural Landscape,” was led by Dr. David Tsiklauri, the Director of the Strategic Development Department at Caucasus University. Participants learned how Nutrimax progressed from being a domestic producer into a regional player, now serving customers in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Moldova.

The ADSM group had the opportunity to observe agribusiness strategies in action during their visit. They learned how companies build export markets, invest in quality and innovation, and plan for long-term growth in a changing sector. Through an open discussion with the Nutrimax team, the ADSM group gained a better understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing agriculture in the region.

The day concluded with a seminar on Georgia’s cultural and social landscape, presented by Nikoloz Khatiashvili, Manager of the Research Facilitation Department. This seminar provided our visitors with a deeper understanding of Georgian history and culture, followed by a discussion with Dr. David Tsiklauri.

Caucasus University is dedicated to fostering connections between research, education, and international cooperation, and we look forward to more exchanges between the UAE and Georgia.
